I'm almost done cleaning... just the finishing touches left. Like the bathtub and the sink, which I've had dirty water and such in while I've been cleaning. Moved some more storage type stuff today. And threw away the collection of magazines I had. Hard to believe I know, but I think I'm finally realizing that it's not worth it to save some stuff. Sure it'd be funny to look back at some of the Cosmo's and such in 50 years :) but I can go to the library and do that right? I know I won't want to haul all that stuff everytime I move for the next 50 years either.
I also spray painted some stuff tonight, a frame, and a shelf. As I was doing that I realized something I didn't know... mosquitos are very attracted to the smell of spray paint! I have a million bites on my legs and arms, and I know I killed at least half a dozen...
School starts tomorrow... which means it's officially the end of my last summer vacation ever. At the end of this school year, we get about a 2 week break and then it's straight into our rotations which will last until May of 2010. I can't believe it's already so close... makes me nervous. I've been in school for 17 years, life without school will be weird. And I also realized that if we're really going to go to Jamaica after I graduate we're going to have to start planning soon, it's only like a year and a half away...

Moving
I'm just about all moved out from the apartment. Everything inside is gone except for cleaning supplies, and then I just have to move everything out from my storage unit downstairs. Not a whole lot down there, but probably a couple trips in my car. I've gone up and down the stairs there I don't even know how many times in the last week or so, and I'm definately feeling it. It's almost like actually going to the gym :) Once I get settled in a little more (aka once I get my stuff unpacked and placed where I want it :) I'll post some pics of the new place when it looks a little less cluttered :)
Tomorrow I'm headed up to the old apartment to clean, vacuum and shampoo the carpets, then I have to paint :*( I have to paint my room back to normal, and I have to paint over Mom's mural... so sad. But I guess we knew that going in, and she's gonna paint a new one at our new place, we already have the picture picked out and everything. Then I'll be ready to turn in my keys! Yay!
I'm really liking living in a house, even if it is an old one that creaks a lot :) And living with Andi is great!
Next week it's back to school. We already have a test on Friday. A math proficiency exam, and you have to pass in order to schedule rotations, otherwise you get stuck with whatever is left over. I'm not too worried about it yet, got a chance to study a little at work tonight. I'm not ready to get back to the books though. This was my last summer break ever and I can't believe it went by soo quickly.

4th of July
Amber, Bobby, Andi, Melisa and I all went to the Eric Church concert at the Warren Co. Fair. :) Yes Eric Church came to Warrenton! lol! It was a lot of fun, but a little short. But he's still hot! Then we all went back to my house for fireworks. 4th of July is my favorite holiday, so that's always fun. Dad got some awesome fireworks at the new place in Wright City, Phantom Fireworks.
Then Saturday Andi and I went to Rich's for their 4th party, so we shot off a bunch more fireworks. Rich made a contraption with 3600 bottle rockets. It was chicken wire stapled to 2X4s. Then he strung cannon fuse through the whole thing. We all stuffed bottle rockets into the holes, and then Rich used the extra fuse to attach a few more fireworks. This was of course the Grand Finale. His uncle fired off a few fireworks at the same time, and the whole thing lasted about 5 minutes. And only a handful of bottle rockets failed to launch :) He plans to make it bigger and better next year!

North Carolina
Rich and I had a blast in North Carolina!
We had a few mishaps while driving... on the way there one of the tires on the camper blew, so Rich had to change it on the side of the highway, at like midnight. Then when he got the spare on, it was also flat. So we tried calling AAA, but they said since Dad wasn't there they couldn't do anything for us. So I called Mom and Dad back and they suggested trying the bicycle pump we happened to have with us. Neither of us expected it to actually work, but somehow it did. So we were back on the road. We drove until about 3, then we took a short nap, lol about 3 hours outside of Louisville.
We finally made it to the campsite at Jordan Lake, right outside of Raleigh. The campsite was awesome! Nice and shady, not many other people around, and a little lake right next to us. We set up the camper without too much trouble and then took a bike ride down to the beach on the lake.
We drove down to Fayetteville and visited the Airborne and Spec Ops museum, and a friend of Rich's who is based at Fort Bragg. Then we kept going down the Carolina Beach. We got our campsite there and set up our tent. Then we headed to the beach, which was awesome! Rich just sat in awe for a few minutes since it was the first time he had ever seen the ocean. He was a little leery of actually getting in, and I told him I wouldn't get in with him so I could take pictures :) But once he got in he LOVED it! Except for the taste, lol. We even built sand castles :) We got some ice cream and headed down the pier.
The next morning we walked all the way to the beach to see the sunrise. It was a little disappointing because of the clouds, but it was still unlike anywhere else. Later we took the Ft. Fischer Ferry to Southport and walked around there. Got some souvenirs and then headed back. We went to the Ft Fischer Aquarium which was neat. And spent a little more time at the beach before heading back to the camper. We got there after the gate was already closed, so then we had to walk back to our campsite.
We went into Raleigh for the next two days, and spent some time checking out the museums and took a couple tours. We took a carriage ride and a trolley and got to see all of the Victorian homes.
Then it was time to pack up and head home. It was sad to leave, I definately could have spent more time down there. The weather was amazing the entire time, and we found a bunch of free stuff to do, and it would have been neat to rent a boat and go out on the lake. We took a different route home, and got to see more of the Smoky Mts. But they took longer to get through than we expected, and Dad's gas gauge stopped working... and we ran out of gas 4 miles from the next gas station. Rich offered to ride his bike to get some gas, but I wouldn't let him, cause it's a mountain road and wasn't very wide. So I used the GPS to find the closest Tow business, and an hour and $80 later we had four gallons of gas to get us to the closest gas station. Since we lost that time we decided not to drive all the way through and stopped in Nashville, and our hotel had a pretty cool view of the city. And it had a king size bed which was awesome :)
Then it was time to get back to reality. We both had to work the following day...
